If you are interested in expanding the use of the Writer's Notebook in your classroom, this book is for you! It is packed with fantastic ideas to implement and energize writing strategies in your classroom. It is easy to read and easy to experiment with in any class from third grade through high school. This book was a quick and easy read that easliy lent itself to great lesson plans for the whole school year. I highly recommend this book if you are a first time writing teacher, or a novice writing teacher.

Oh man! This book is wonderful and is an execellent tool for getting at-risk students into writing. I love that this book has many examples to explain the written text so that one can understand what she is actually talking about. Lucy Calkins, watch out!
